BROWN COW BREWERY HAS BEEN QUIETLY BREWING QUALITY BEERS FOR QUALITY CUSTOMERS SINCE 1997
Please don’t confuse us with Brown Cow Alchemy Brewery based at North Piddle in Worcestershire with who we have no connection.
The Brown Cow Brewery, run by Susan and Keith Simpson, was formed in July 1997. Their beers are well respected with real ale drinkers and the beers have won many awards at festivals throughout the country.
A renovated building behind the Simpson’s home (the former Brown Cow Inn) houses the six-barrel plant. Being a ‘cottage industry’ the beers are delivered direct from the brewery, ensuring a quality product and personal service.
First class ingredients are used – the finest quality malt from the well respected Yorkshire maltsters Thomas Fawcett’s, together with carefully selected hops from America, New Zealand, Europe and England.
We brew a complete range of beers from mild to porter. In terms of beer strength our Porter is 5.1% abv, our pale beers are between 3.6% and 4.0% abv. Our Premium Mild at 4.5% abv is true to style and brewed with complex dark malts and gently hopped.
This brewery is dedicated to creating genuine hand-crafted cask beers using traditional methods.
